The Friends of Ballona Wetlands was founded in 1978 with the mission of championing the restoration and protection of Los Angeles’ last coastal wetland and educating our diverse community as stewards of nature. Today we continue that legacy through community restoration, environmental advocacy, educational field trips, and active scientific monitoring of Ballona Wetlands. As the Manager of Communications and Community Engagement my primary role is to spread awareness, inspire action, and mobilize the diverse communities of Los Angeles to get involved!

Since 2011, GrowGood has been working with the Salvation Army to develop a garden-based program for the residents of the Bell Shelter that uses healthy food and gardening as a catalyst for healing.

Black Women for Wellness believes in the strength and wisdom of our community and allies. Each of us must develop our personal power, hold accountable and support acknowledged leadership, and most importantly, contribute to our survival and growth as a community.

Trailmixer - OUT Hiking for Our Community, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of hikers and climbers who actively seek to support underserved LGBTQ+ youth, ages 12-24, in the greater Los Angeles area. We create access to safe, inclusive and educational experiences to foster environmental stewardship and opportunities to thrive outdoors. We're united to make change, test our personal limits and build an engaged, empowered community. We strive for the betterment of all people - by coming together in nature.

The Bay Foundation (TBF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental group founded in 1990 to restore and enhance Santa Monica Bay and local coastal waters. TBF is staffed by science and policy experts who are passionate about understanding and protecting the Bay and its watershed. This provides many benefits to people and wildlife, supports a strong economy, and improves our quality of life.

California Wildlife Center takes responsibility for the protection of native wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and conservation.  It is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of native California species, who otherwise would be left to suffer from the effects of human encroachment, habitat destruction and environmental damage.

Our core work is the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife, supported by state-of-the-art animal care and rehabilitation facilities, a cadre of professionally-trained staff, dedicated volunteers and an engaged community.
